REGION’S COMMUNITY GROUPS TO BENEFIT FROM IMPROVED INFRASTRUCTURE GRANTS

Member for Murray Adrian Piccoli is encouraging community organisations in the region to apply for funding of local projects as part of changes to the NSW Government’s Infrastructure Grants.

Mr Piccoli said the changes will make it easier to apply for a wide range of Infrastructure Grants across arts and culture, emergency preparedness and sport and recreation.

“The NSW Government is giving more communities the opportunity to access the funding more often,” Mr Piccoli said.

NSW GOVERNMENT MINISTERS COMING TO GRIFFITH FOR COMMUNITY CABINET

Member for Murray Adrian Piccoli today announced that the NSW Government Ministry will meet on 17 August in Griffith.

Mr Piccoli said he was delighted that the Community Cabinet meeting will occur in the region and will provide an opportunity for Ministers to hear from Councils, businesses and residents on issues that matter to them.

HONOUR EXCEPTIONAL GRANDPARENTS AND OLDER PEOPLE IN THE REGION

Member for Murray Adrian Piccoli has advised that entries are now open for the 2017 NSW Grandparent of the Year Awards.

Mr Piccoli is urging people in the region to nominate grandparents or older people who go above and beyond for their families and the local community.

“Whether you’re a grandchild or someone who is simply thankful for a grandparent or older person who makes a difference in this region, then nominate them today,” Mr Piccoli said.
