CALLING FOR NEW MEMBERS FOR THE NSW CARERS ADVISORY COUNCIL
15 September 2016
Member for Murray Adrian Piccoli has encouraged local carers to apply for a position on the NSW Carers Advisory Council.
The NSW Carers Advisory Council advances the interests of carers and provides advice to the NSW Government. The Council meets a minimum of three times a year in Sydney. Members may also contribute time to working groups and attend other events and consultations.
Member for Murray Adrian Piccoli has welcomed an additional $115 million in funding to make early childhood education more affordable for local families and reduce fees by an average of 30 per cent.
Mr Piccoli said the NSW Government is committed to providing universal access to quality early childhood education. This funding will reduce preschool fees for four and five year olds and remove nearly all fees for children from Aboriginal and low-income families at preschool.
