They serve the most vital purpose of chewing our food into smaller particles so that they can easily be absorbed but along with that a beautiful smile is equally important. Foods

There are a lot of foods that cause yellowing of teeth. Things like tea, coffee. Now it may be difficult to completely cut these foods off as most of do need our regular dose of caffeine but what you can do is to limit it. Try to consume less. If you do consume it often try to brush your teeth or at least use a mouthwash right afterwards.

The tongue is a part which holds a lot of bacteria. A lot of people tend to forget that the tongue has got papillae which are very tiny protruding which help to taste the food. But what happens is that some residual food particles tend to stay back. This tends further invites bacteria. It’s always important to clean the tongue thoroughly to keep the nasty microorganisms away.

Learn To Floss

This has been said so many times in many articles, magazines and books of dental health but no one really takes this seriously. People tend to forget that teeth do have grooves. They also have tiny spaces between them which the toothbrush can’t reach. That’s why the floss. It is a bit annoying at first but as time proceeds it becomes second nature. In other words practice flossing until you can do it with your eyes closed.

Make sure that you have a routine with your brushing. It should be the first thing you do once you get out of bed and the last thing before you go to sleep. Also learn to brush with proper technique. Don’t just brush side to side. Use semi-circular motions and also clean the teeth from inside with sweeping movements from down to up.
